
Don’t forget tomorrow is the first day of the book fair and students can dress like their favorite character from a book:). Students can also bring their favorite “book worm” to breakfast and then take them to the book fair. We hope to see you there!

Thursday, August 15th, our afternoon bus route will be running late. We will be combining the two routes into one. Drop off time will not be the same.


September 19-23 is a full scheduled week. We will have school Monday through Friday next week.

Starting next week, Mrs. Chestnut will be available for tutoring on Mondays and Mrs. Barton on Tuesdays. These teachers will be available for any middle school subject until 4:15. Your child can bring a snack. All students will be picked up in the back promptly at 4:15. Message Mrs. Chestnut with any questions!

A Note from the Community Club about the Fall Festival.
Fall Festival will be on Thursday, October 20th.
4:30-6 Chili Dinner
6:00-8:00 Fall Festival
8:00-8:30 8th Grade Auction
Dunk Tank
At Fall Festival this year we are going to do a Dunk Tank. All students will have the chance to put their favorite Oak Grove Faculty or Staff in the Dunk Tank. To see who will get dunked we are going to have a change war (dollars are okay too). The top 8 Faculty or Staff with the most money will get a turn in the Tank!
Baskets
This year for Fall Festival we are doing 3 baskets. Each basket has a theme and then each class will sell raffle tickets for their basket. The proceeds from the basket sales will go back to the classroom. The class that sells the most tickets will get lunch at Pizza Hut in Cushing. Thank you parents for providing an item or money for your classes basket. We will be collecting items and money till October 6th. The winner of each basket will be drawn at the Christmas program.

5th -7th: Family Night
Prizes for Games
For Pop and Cake Walk we need 12 cans and one Snack Cake Box or $5 per Pre-K through the 4th.
For Basketball Throw we need 6 full-Size Candy Bars or $5 per 5th through 7th grade.

Carson earned six-first place posters and 2 Champions, and 1 second place lego craft. They will be sent to be judged at the Tulsa State Fair. Great job Carson!


8th grade students made their first 3D print today! Mrs. Chestnut wrote a Donor’s Choose grant! Up next, Student of the Month trophies and math manipulative.



If your child signed up for the color run, it is at 8:00 in Cushing at Memorial Park in the morning. You will want to get there at 7:30 to get your number! Park at the youth center. Make sure you see them start and meet them at the finish line if you are not running with them.
