'Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.'
~ Benjamin Franklin
State testing starts April 10 and will end by April 24. We ask that you not schedule any doctor appointments, dentist appointments, or plan trips during that time. It is very important that your child be here every day – on time. Students should also plan to eat a good breakfast and get plenty of rest during that time.
TALENT SHOW !!! TALENT SHOW !!! TALENT SHOW !!! TALENT SHOW !!!
We are going to have a Talent Show on April 28 . Time will be announced after tryouts. Talent Show tryouts will be held next week. Tryouts will be before school and after school. We will schedule tryouts after we get back permission slips. Permission slips are due in the morning on Friday, March 28th. NO late permission slips will be accepted. All permission slips must have a parent signature. Your child will not be able to call on Friday morning to get the slip. Please plan ahead.
Please discuss the importance of commitment with your child. In order to plan for the talent show, we must have 100% commitment from students who are trying out. If students are unsure, sometimes another year helps. Sometimes it helps to watch other acts to get comfortable with the idea of being on stage.
It is important that the acts are age appropriate. Remember students from Pre-K through 8th grade will be watching.
If you have a song to go along with your talent, you will need to attach lyrics to your permission slip. You will also need to have your CD there the day of tryouts. Please do not ask a teacher to get the song or lyrics for you. This is the participants’ responsibility.
If you have any questions, please call Miss Devona or Mrs. Chestnut at 352-2889.
Thank You! We are looking forward to seeing great talent!
